Misty Miotto has been photographing weddings for over 20+ years, having shot her first wedding at the very young age of 17. She accredits 99% of her business to referrals from happy customers by being energetic, spontaneous, fun to work with, professional, and creative. To date, Misty 1,700 weddings. Although born in a small farm-town right outside of Lincoln, Nebraska, Misty was raised in the Sun
shine State and is a true Florida girl at heart! Due to the amount of weddings Misty shoots a year (50-75), she prefers to shoot most of her weddings locally. However, it is not uncommon for a bride with a unique destination or theme to tempt and lure Misty away from the sand, theme parks and orange groves of Florida to photograph her special day! In addition to shooting weddings, Misty is also a strong voice in her community and advocate of children's rights. She is the founder and director of both the Heart Gallery of Central Florida and Foster Youth of America. In addition to her numerous community service awards over the past 30 years, Misty was awarded the Inspiration Award by the lead agency here in Central Florida and was also nominated as a Girl Scouts "Woman of Distinction" and most recently her non-profit, Foster Youth of America won the Outstanding Non-Profit Champion for children award presented by Florida's Children First. A believer in education, Misty was also the president of the Central Florida PUG (a Pictage user Group) for 5 years. The CFLPUG was dedicated to facilitating communication and education among professional photographers at a regional level around the nation in order to allow photographers to learn from each other and share experiences. In addition to the CFLPUG, Misty also launched the first ever Junior PUG (Ages 12-18). The Junior PUG gave budding photographers a chance to learn not only from their older peers in the community, but also from rockstar celebrity photographers from all over the country. She also works closely with her community to help promote opportunities for children wanting to get more involved in the visual arts. Last, but certainly not least, Misty's biggest love is her family and when not shooting weddings loves spending time with them and her rescue and adventure dog Bella traveling across the US in their RV.
