She planned it, and he had absolutely no idea.

All he knew was that they were headed somewhere together.

What he didn’t know was that she had secretly arranged a portrait session to celebrate him for his birthday.

Not because he asked for it. Not because he expected it. Simply because she wanted him to feel loved.

The moment he realized what was happening, he was all in.

What started as a surprise quickly turned into an afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and the kind of moments that remind you why photos matter in the first place.

There’s the version of you that shows up pressed and polished.

And there’s the version that kicks her shoes off in the grass and lets the wind do what it wants.

Most women think they have to pick one for the camera.

She didn’t. So we captured both.

We started in the studio. Structured, refined, beautifully in control.

Then we took it outside. Barefoot. Carefree. Completely herself.

And honestly? Both versions stopped me in my tracks.

This is what I want every woman who sits in front of my camera to know:
You don’t have to choose. You don’t have to perform for the lens. You just have to show up, and I’ll take care of the rest.

There’s something truly special about photographing a woman in this season.

She carries both softness and strength at the same time. She is stepping into someone new while still being fully herself. Every image we create together reflects exactly who she was in that moment.

She welcomed her baby FOUR DAYS after this session. Moments like that are a quiet reminder of why this work matters so much. This season is fleeting, and once it passes, it cannot be recreated.
