Ever since I started in the industry I always been at conflict with writing my photos. When I started I identified my work as , but even then I felt like edit images darker than they are in real life was a cop out in a way, over shadowing hides a lot about an image. I could never transition to because I felt the same way as dark and moody when you flatten down an image with too much exposure. Back then the third option was more of photoshop look, overly edited and very heavy on the contract and sharpness. Today, has really made a come back into the industry, adding one more editing style with the film look, but more often than not it looks forced and overly faded, at the end of the day only film looks like film 100%. So, in the mean time I slowed down, I stop working for a while and I feel off the business end of things, ending with severe drop in bookings. I forgot that what got me here in the first place was my ability to capture emotion and tell a story. I am trying to get back to that, and Im trying to do it with out worrying so much about how my images are edited, instead, trying to edit them was from a style, trying to keep the images honest, and true to what they looked in real life. The truth is that sometimes they are darker and moodier and sometimes they are lighter and airy-er. Sometimes you just have what you have and the most important thing becomes the emotion you feel when you see the images. I am back in business after really falling off the last few years, so holla at your boy if you are looking for the best photographer and deal in town. I will rise to the top again. In the mean time I will try to post a s**t load of random work I haven’t shared in years…. Xo
