Right now, this field in Crested Butte is buried under snow. But come July, it will explode with life.

I captured this scene during peak wildflower season—delicate white blooms carpeting the ground with Mt. Baldy rising majestically in the distance. The colors were so vibrant, the air so warm and alive, I had to pull over.

What amazes me most is their resilience. These wildflowers survive brutal winters, high altitude, freezing temperatures, and bone-dry conditions—yet every summer they return, transforming the landscape into something magical. That's why Crested Butte is called the Wildflower Capital of Colorado.

On these cold winter days, this photograph reminds me that warmth is on the way. That beneath the snow, life is waiting. That beauty always returns.

Let this image be your reminder: summer is out there, just a few months away, ready to bloom again.

I photographed Notre Dame in 2018—one year before the fire that would devastate this 800-year-old masterpiece.

Standing along the Seine that night, I watched the Gothic cathedral rise against the Paris sky, its ancient stones glowing softly in the darkness. I had no idea I was capturing something so fragile, so precious.

Notre Dame has survived revolutions, wars, and centuries of change. It endured anti-clerical mobs during the French Revolution and N**i bullets in WWII. But in April 2019, flames tore through its attic, collapsing the iconic spire and destroying much of the roof.

This black and white image feels even more significant now—a quiet tribute to resilience, history, and the beauty we sometimes take for granted. Notre Dame has since been rebuilt, but this moment, frozen in time along the river, reminds us that nothing lasts forever.

Sometimes a photograph becomes more than what we intended. It becomes a memory, a monument, a prayer.

I canoed across Emerald Lake in Canada chasing the perfect shot of those famous turquoise waters and snow-capped peaks. But the best photo? I almost missed it.

After paddling for hours, capturing the lake's radiant blue from every angle, I returned my canoe and turned to leave. That's when I saw it: a row of red canoes lined up perfectly along the dock, their vibrant color popping against the crystalline water and mountain backdrop.

Sometimes the shot you're searching for finds you on your way out the door.
I grabbed my camera and captured this moment—a scene that speaks to adventure, to the quiet anticipation before a journey begins, to the beauty we stumble upon when we're not looking so hard.

This image reminds me that magic doesn't always require grand effort. Sometimes it's just waiting there, right where you started, asking you to turn around and notice.

I took a wrong turn on a muddy Colorado backroad—and it led to pure magic.

I was headed to Telluride for hiking and camping when massive potholes forced me to turn around. Frustrated, I started back down the ridge. That's when I saw it: a weathered barn framed perfectly against the jagged San Juan Mountains as storm clouds rolled in.

I pulled over and set up my camera just in time. The mountains were majestic, the drama building with every passing second. Minutes after I captured this shot, the skies opened up, and rain poured down.

As I rushed back to my car, I realized how lucky I was—not just for the photo, but for avoiding that muddy road in a downpour. Sometimes the best moments come from plans going wrong.

This image is a reminder that detours and obstacles often lead us exactly where we need to be. The storms, the setbacks, the inconveniences—they're all part of the journey.

Three days in London, and I was exhausted—checking off monuments like items on a grocery list. Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, Big Ben. Snap and go.

Then I stopped.

Golden hour light bathed Westminster Bridge. Tourists rushed past, but something made me pause. That's when I saw it: a bright red double-decker bus gliding past Big Ben, perfectly framed against the Gothic towers of Parliament. Every postcard cliché I'd ever dismissed suddenly made sense.

I raised my camera, and time stopped.

I'd spent three days seeing London, but in this single moment, I finally felt it. The best moments aren't the ones we plan for—they're the ones that find us when we slow down and stay present.

This isn't just a photograph. It's a reminder to pause, look closer, and let the world surprise you, even when you think you've seen it all before.

I set out for a hike on the Appalachian Trail in Georgia, chasing the fall colors everyone talks about.

Mile after mile, I walked through fallen leaves, cool air filling my lungs. But I kept my eyes down—focused on the trail, the next step, the destination ahead. Then I stopped. Something made me look up.

The canopy exploded above me—red, orange, yellow, green—a kaleidoscope of autumn light filtering through the trees. I'd been so focused on moving forward that I'd nearly missed the beauty directly overhead. That moment changed everything. I realized the journey isn't just about where you're going; it's about what you notice along the way.

I captured that revelation in this photograph. When you look at it, I hope you're transported there—feeling the cool autumn wind, hearing leaves rustle, remembering to look up and appreciate what's right above you.

For anyone who needs a reminder to pause and see the beauty around them.

I set out to photograph the Grand Tetons at sunrise—a dream I'd held for years.

When I arrived at Schwabacher's Landing in the dark, I felt small against those snow-capped peaks. The mountains towered above me, seemingly impossible to capture. As the sun rose, the river came alive, reflecting the landscape in perfect clarity. But I quickly realized: seeing beauty and capturing it are two different things.

The lighting was tricky. The angles wouldn't cooperate. I could have given up, but instead I kept trying—different perspectives, different conditions—until finally, I got it. That one shot that made everything click. The moment when vision became reality.

This photograph is proof that persistence pays off. If you're chasing your own summit, let this image remind you: the struggle to capture something beautiful is part of what makes it meaningful.

I traveled to Rafina, Greece, where a fisherman taught me an important lesson.

Every dawn, he was there—rain or shine, success or struggle. One morning, as the sky exploded in orange and gold, I captured him in that moment. The light reflected off the water like a mirror of his quiet determination.

That photograph became my revelation: true strength isn't about the destination—it's about showing up every single day, doing the work, staying committed to your craft.

This image is not only for those who love fishing. It is for anyone on their own journey. The dreamers. The builders. The ones who keep casting their lines despite the odds. Let it remind you that every sunrise brings a new opportunity to pursue what matters.

The Hike That Changed Everything 🏔️

Solo. 4 miles. 11,000+ feet. Blue Lakes, Telluride. What could go wrong?

A lot, apparently. My legs were screaming before mile one. The Colorado altitude was kicking my Florida butt, and I'd only been in-state for a few days. This "moderate" hike felt anything but moderate as I gasped for air on every switchback. 4 miles of constant uphill.

Multiple times I considered turning back.

But something deeper kept pushing me forward – one burning step at a time. Maybe it was stubbornness. Maybe it was the photos I'd seen. Or maybe it was that voice inside saying, "You're stronger than you think."

Reaching the first Blue Lake felt like summiting Everest. I pitched my tent, explored the crystalline waters, and fell asleep feeling genuinely proud of myself.

4:30 AM wake-up call.

No pack this time – just camera gear and determination. One more mile to the upper lakes in pre-dawn darkness. Snow crunched underfoot as I hiked past wildflower meadows, chasing sunrise magic.

Then it happened. Morning light exploded across the peaks, illuminating these pristine alpine lakes in a symphony of color. Mountains reflected perfectly in glass-still water. Wildflowers swaying in the crisp morning breeze. Pure Colorado gold.

This wasn't just a photograph – it was proof. Proof that when you push through the voice saying "I can't," you discover who you really are.

If I could survive this hike, I could survive anything. 💪

I came to New York City as a dreamer, unsure if I'd find my place in this massive, overwhelming city. Walking those crowded streets, I felt small against the towering buildings and endless noise.

Then I looked up.

The Empire State Building stood there—iconic, resilient, timeless. Its Art Deco architecture caught the light, and in that moment, something shifted. I realized that I wasn't small; I was part of something greater. The city's energy, its history, its spirit—it all came rushing in. This wasn't just a building. It was a symbol of New York's triumph, its refusal to quit, its beauty in the struggle.

I had to capture that moment. Not just for me, but to share the transformation I felt with others.

When you look at this photograph, you're not just seeing a landmark. You're witnessing that moment of awakening—that instant when the city reveals its magic to you. Whether you're a NYC native, a first-time visitor, or someone who dreams of being here, this image is a reminder: you belong here. We all do.
