Never would I ever.... 🙅‍♀️

I used to be terrified of taking photos, especially in public! And not just selfies but literally just posing with friends or family, or with my bf on vacation.

I fell into the trap of thinking everyone else was paying attention to me or that they cared and would judge me. The problem is when I let this fear get the best of me, I missed out on taking memorable photos I would've loved to have.

I don't want you to experience this! Here are 5 Reasons you SHOULD NEVER let photo insecurity hold you back.

⛔ That moment will never exist again in time!
⛔ Nobody else cares as much as you
⛔ Everyone feels insecure or self-conscious in their own way
⛔ Nobody else cares as much as you
⛔ Life is worth celebrating every moment!

And did I mention nobody else cares as much as you? 😜 I hope you stop falling into the "I can't smile or pose because everyone is looking and will judge me", and take back your power! We all take photos! Might as well feel confident and excited doing it 🪩💃🏽

Is feeling short on time and overwhelmed getting in the way of having photos taken?

I often hear clients, family, and friends say they don't have time to book a photographer. When I ask why they feel this way, they say finding the right photographer at the right price point that they know will provide a comfortable and fun experience, and most importantly photos that they LOVE takes way too much time.

In their minds, an abundance of time is the only way they are going to actually be able to google photographers in their area, easily find the information they're looking for in a quick & timely manner, go through the booking process, and then find the time to put themselves (and potentially their family) together and feel confident for the photos.

Is this where your mind is too? If it "feels" like it takes more time or maybe you feel like you aren't good at it, or you'll end up spending too much money....then newsflash! These are feelings, not facts!

With a few intentional shifts and knowing how to quickly cut through the abundance of options out there, it's possible to make looking for and booking a photographer work for you and your schedule!

The #1 hang-up for most of my clients is planning their outfits for the session. No worries, I’ve got you! Here are my best tips when it comes to preparing outfits for your session:

🔥 Wear clothing that you feel comfortable + confident in
🔥 If there's more than one person, make sure your outfits coordinate instead of match
🔥 Narrow down your outfit options then take photos & videos of yourself moving around in the outfit to see how it looks and feels, and if it’s something that you’ll be happy with for your session.

Feeling awkward having your photos taken sucks. We don’t do that here! Instead, you’re going to follow my top 3 tips for having the most fun-filled and laid-back session ever, guaranteed to get you photos that you feel confident AF in!

⚡Come fully prepared! Read through the prep guide and style guide I send you after booking.
⚡Pamper yourself before the shoot 💅🏽 Your mini session is the perfect excuse for getting a blowout and some press on nails (cause who has time for the nail salon these days?)
⚡Don’t take yourself too seriously. Mini sessions are only 20 minutes! Focus on having fun instead of looking perfect. When you’re having fun and enjoying yourself, perfect photos will be a natural side effect!

Guys, I am so excited to introduce to you my brand new offer - mini sessions! Now I know you’re probably used to mini sessions that are themed in the back of a Christmas-decor truck or some Santa’s lap bs, but these are different!

Mini sessions with me are a fun, quick + efficient way to get you the candid creative photos you've been dying to have without all the awkward, uncomfortable bs! They’ll be held seasonally four times a year and each season will be at a new location. To kick the first few off, we will be doing Fall + Winter.

Of all the ways you could do family photos, I recommend my clients do it THIS way. 😁

You're the one always taking photos of everyone else with your kids but never have photos of them with you. If you want those natural moments of interacting with your loved ones documented, it doesn't have to be easier said than done!

Here is my #1 rule for doing family photos to get to the photos you can't wait to get framed on your walls.

Choose a location that's special to your family. This could be the family farm that's been passed down for generations, the beach where you spend regular trips together, or even just your home (which btw does not have to be magazine-worthy!).

Having your family photos taken in a place that is specific to your family and how you guys enjoy time together will naturally result in photos that look and feel authentic and emotive. Plus, having photos taken in this special location will instantly make the photos more of an heirloom piece that will be cherished for a lifetime & more.
