Mariposa Photography - A Division of Mariposa Canopy, LLC. Photography to Fit Your Personality Welcome to the wonderful world of Mariposa Photography! Mariposa is Spanish for "Butterfly" and I find it oddly appropriate.

Butterflies remind us of beauty and movement: which is exactly how I operate. I want to capture the beauty of your special moments and relationships and I like to keep it fun. I travel to you and then we have a party with pictures! As you can see, I will follow you into a waterfall or onto a trampoline. I'll come to your home or meet you at a playground. I will take pictures of pets, children, eve

nts or treasured objects. I believe in preserving memories of love and joy. "Photography to Fit Your Personality" means that if you prefer to read a book, we'll get out your glasses and your favorite novel. If you like things simple, I will strive to keep them that way and if you prefer a little adventure we can enjoy it together. I believe that "fun" and "appropriate" go hand in hand. So, we follow safety rules and respect property but still get the most unique shots that show you and your loved ones at your best! My job is not just to be your photographer, but to be your friend. I want the rest of the world to see the same beauty in you that I do.

I have been learning so many wonderful things over the last year and a half. Now I am trying to practice patience as I obtain one new tool at a time and learn how to use it well. It is exciting to watch my work get progressively better with every passing day.

I heard one photographer say lately that, in photography, there is no such thing as “the best you can possibly do”. I love the idea that there is always more to explore and more to learn - not to mention the increasingly clever gear that provides a whole world of new opportunities. Now if we could just take snapshots of the amazing images I get in my head...

It’s that time again! Time for a portfolio shoot!

Anyone who is interested, please speak up! I intend to do 2 shoots: 1 in August and 1 in September.

I am doing things a little differently this time. The purpose of these two shoots is to practice/produce “low-light” or “low-key” images.

Models will need to meet the following criteria:
1) Like (or, at least, have an interest in) low-light images.
2) Commit to a 4-hour shoot (Probably on a Saturday).
3) Coordinate with me on hair, make-up, and wardrobe for the shoot.

Models will receive:
1) Copies of all negatives produced on the shoot. (Including processed images.)
2) Coupon for $50 off a shoot with Mariposa Photography - A Division of Mariposa Canopy, LLC.

Sorry, about Monday...we were at the baby animals party at "This is the place Heritage park." Then we went to the cemetery to take thing tho James and my sister's baby.
