I loved documenting this extended family session. We laughed a lot, especially when two grown adults played leap frog and the banter that came from it had us cackling. Extended family sessions are so important. The posed ones are great but the candid ones are often where the gold is. They are the timeless ones that really show the love.

Nico’s last milestone mini was in May. He was one of my last birth babies and I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow before my camera over the last year. Milestone minis happen every three months in the first year. Saying bye to this sweet family was so hard! Maeve usually runs to greet me and holds my hand while telling me about her day. I think that’s one of my favorite parts of this amazing job. It’s the little people that love our time together. So here is a magical spring night with some of my favorites.

Keegan & Stanley’s Graduation Party! Congrats guys!

Planning a joint party is so much work! So when Emma asked me to document the party, I was in. These two mamas put so much work into the details of this party. At one point Emma ran up to me and asked me to get a photo of the cake because they were cutting it up and all the desserts were already almost gone and she didn’t get a photo of it. I told her I already got all those photos right away so she had nothing to worry about. That’s the beauty of these candid event sessions. I’m your eyes, so you can just relax and enjoy the party you have worked so hard to plan. So many people are needing you, or wanting to chat with you and you can just be present while I grab all the important memories to look back on. I got you!
