LOOK UP! 🌕️ July’s Full Buck Moon rises today, July 29, reaching peak illumination at 10:36 a.m. ET. (Yes, a.m. is correct!)

The Full Moon in July is called the Buck Moon because the antlers of male deer (bucks) are in full-growth mode at this time. Bucks shed and regrow their antlers each year, producing a larger and more impressive set as the years go by.

Plants are also featured prominently in July’s Moon names. Some of our favorites are Berry Moon (Anishinaabe), Moon When the Chokecherries are Ripe (Dakota), Month of the Ripe Corn Moon (Cherokee), and Raspberry Moon (Algonquin, Ojibwe).

It is fun to use these mock-ups to see what your photo could look like on different products. I am using these on my Etsy store. I decided to open it back up and try to sell some digital images on there, and may eventually start selling canvas prints. Have you ever bought any digital files on Etsy for wall art so that you can put them on whatever you want? Or would you prefer to buy it already on canvas?
