Excuse me while I be very transparent with everyone for a second... π«£
I had 6 of my clients today not show up π₯
And most had zero communication with me about not being able to make it their appointment time. I understand things come up, and it was me who had to reschedule these minis a few times before so i get it but also zero communication is not the way I work and ive been reminding clients all week that the these would be happening this weekend. So, with that being said for Day 2 PAY WHAT YOU CAN minis tomorrow, it you cannot make your session time PLEASE tell me in advance. I have sent both text message & email reminders! Its not cool to no show on people. I have a schedule of 24 families back to back tomorrow, so if someone cannot make their session time knowing that in advance really helps me out. Its totally okay if you cant make it! I just want you to get your photos.
As for future Pay What You Can Minis, to be completely honest im not sure if these are meant for me. I have never been ghosted by booked clients in my 10 years of taking photos, and then today I had six. So, we will see what tomorrow and the Summer PWYC Minis will hold but if they were anything like today with all the no shows, they will be no more.
I know photography isnt a necessity. And not everyone can afford family photos which is why I offered these minis specifically in the first place. But. Lowering my prices doesnt mean I have to lower my standards, too. Just to put it into retrospect, 44 clients total is what im supposed to have by the end of the weekend. If I had charged my regular mini session price I would have made $6,600 this weekend. Instead im making maybe $700 (and i actaully made this money months ago when clients first booked.. today I actaully only made $40).. in this texas heat. π So.
Im not doing this for me, im doing it for you. So please atleast show me the decency to communicate with me!
We got so many sweet & fun family memories captured today for those who did come see me & Im excited for day 2 tomorrow. I truly hope I am able to see every one of my clients tomorrow but if not, please let me know you cant make it in advance π«ΆπΌ
