The Ermine, often confused with a white weasel, is differentiated by the presence of black fur at the tip of the tail. This friendly guy popped up from the snow for just a few minutes to check out its surrounding and then disappeared in search of food. This photograph, taken during the winter in the Grand Tetons is one of several new additions to my website, www.virtualimages.net and can be seen in the Grand Tetons Gallery.

"Master of My Domain" is an image of a Big Horn Sheep overlooking the vista from a high peak of the Grand Tetons. Watching these agile mountain climbers, it is amazing to see how. they seem to find a foothold in the most precarious of spots. This is one of several recent releases to my website and can be found in the "Grand Tetons Gallery."

While not the 100' waves made famous at Nazare on the coast of Portugal, these waves are still a challenge for these Portugese surfers. These prints are now available along with many other landscape and ocean scenes from my recent trip to Portugal.

Another favorite image from a Winter in the Grand Tetons. This is the Snake River Overlook made famous by Ansel Adams. While the color version is amazing, I am always partial to the detail brought out by a black and white print. This fine art print, framed in black with a simple white mat makes a stunning addition to your home office.

These bitter cold temperatures take me back to some frigid days in the Tetons! While many wildlife images are close-up portraits, I enjoy capturing wildlife in their element. While this Big Horn Sheep is the primary subject, the striking color of the lichens and textured detail of the rock wall are key components that put me in the scene. This is a great framed print for anyone who enjoys the beauty of the wild outdoors!

Portugal has an extensive coastline that include the most western point in Europe as well as the most Southern point. The rocky shore is a significant hazard to shipping and therefore is dotted with a variety of lighthouses. Capturing a light beam can be tricky as the darkness of night requires a longer exposure, but if too long, the light beam disappears. As in most aspects of photography, timing is everything!
