My favorite photos from a session vs the stereotypical “best photo”
I love a photo that shows personality and makes you smile every time you look at it.
We’ve got to get the picture of every smiling (or hopefully at least looking for toddlers and babies). I know we’ll need one of those for the christmas card or for grandma to hang on the wall but the silly, fun and candid photos these feel more like genuine memories to me.

A couple photos I took while holding my clients baby ❤️

I can’t tell you how often I end up holding a baby or toddler so my clients can get some couples pictures on the beach. With my 2, 4 and 6 year old at home it just feels like regular life to me.

Honestly I’ll do anything for a photo, hold a baby while I take a picture, lay down in the sand, get in the water myself. Whatever it takes to get the shot. Doesn’t bother me at all.

There’s a reason why my kids won’t hug me when I get home from work. They know I’m wet and sandy 😂

Some of the sweetest memories happen before your baby ever arrives. 🤍

There’s something so special about this season of waiting. Feeling those little kicks. Dreaming about who they’re going to become. Wondering whose eyes they’ll have. Did they inherit the family nose? Life is about to change forever.

Maternity photos aren’t just about documenting a growing baby bump. They’re about remembering the excitement, the anticipation, and the love that already exists before you ever meet your little one.

❓Questions I Get Asked…

“Which session length should I book?”

There isn’t one right answer because every family is different.
..If you’re just looking for a few updated portraits, a 20-minute session may be all you need...If you have little ones, I almost always recommend the 40-minute session. It gives them time to warm up, play, and lets us capture those genuine smiles and candid moments everyone loves...If you’re planning an extended family session or want an outfit change and lots of variety, the 60-minute session is usually the best fit.

My goal is to help you choose the session that’s right for your family so you leave with photos you’ll love for years to come.

“Is it too early to book?”

If you already know your vacation dates, it’s the perfect time.
The earlier you book, the more flexibility you’ll have when choosing your date, location, and session time.

Waiting until the last minute doesn’t always mean you won’t get a session. But it does mean your options become more limited. Booking early means one less thing to think about while you’re planning your trip. Then all you have to do is show up…

“Where should we take our beach photos?”

Welcome to another Location Spotlight! 🌊

This week we’re visiting Fort Morgan, one of my favorite locations for families who love a quieter, more natural beach setting.

Unlike some of the busier beaches, Fort Morgan offers wide open stretches of sand, beautiful dunes, and a peaceful atmosphere that lets everyone relax and enjoy the experience.

If your dream session includes fewer crowds, lots of natural scenery, and room for the kids to explore, this might be the perfect location for you.

I love that every beach around Orange Beach has its own personality, and Fort Morgan definitely has a calm, laid-back feel that’s hard to beat.
