I’m good at what I do. I care about my clients, I’m confident in my work, and I probably overextend myself more than I should trying to make sure everyone is happy. But I’m still human, and I’m not perfect. Social media has also created some unrealistic expectations. We see perfectly edited images all day long, and sometimes that makes us overly critical of ourselves when we see our own photos. Some of us can get so focused on finding one tiny flaw that we forget everything that was done right. There’s a difference between expecting quality and expecting perfection.

I’ll always do my best and fix what reasonably needs to be fixed, but if nothing will ever feel good enough unless it’s flawless, I may not be the photographer for you. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Something that really doesn’t trigger until you own your own business is how important reading is!!!! A lot of the questions people ask are already answered on the website for your convenience, so you don’t have to wait for me to respond.

That’s also why I have auto replies set up everywhere. Hiring someone just to answer questions that are already answered on a website I paid $$$$ for and spent hours putting together would eventually drive up the cost of my services. And sometimes the tone gets a little sassy, like I’m the one who didn’t provide the information… until I point out exactly where it was sent. Most don't even apologize. Like I always say., technology is way too advanced now. Our software tells us That Emails show when they were opened, viewed, and include timestamps and all kinds of little receipts. 🫣
