Sunset Rock. One of Chattanooga’s best-kept secrets!

Tucked away on Lookout Mountain, Sunset Rock is one of those places you might never know existed unless somebody told you about it!

With only about eight parking spaces along Brow Road, it's easy to drive right past. But a short hike down the trail leads to one of the prettiest overlooks in the Chattanooga area.

The views are beautiful any time of day, but around sunset? That's when this place really puts on a show!

If you've never been, it's well worth the hike. Just be sure to get there early enough to find a parking spot.

And don't miss the last photo! That's what a sunset from Sunset Rock looks like. Mother Nature showing off a little!

What a great view of the approach at the Chattanooga airport. But how can flying this close to an airport be legal?

When hiring a drone pilot to fly in controlled airspace, especially this close to the Chattanooga airport, make sure they are flying legally.

We had to file for "LAANC" approval from the FAA 72 hours before this flight. We had to maintain a flight under 100 feet above ground level. We also have our Part 107 FAA certificate and liability insurance.

Safety first! When safety and legal regulations matter to you, call Gig City Drones.

Is your metal roof trying to tell you something?

This industrial facility in Soddy-Daisy is showing clear signs of rust, corrosion, and coating failure. From the ground, it's easy to miss just how much wear a roof has endured.

With a drone inspection from Gig City Drones, you get a safe, high-resolution view of your roof without climbing a ladder or walking a potentially unsafe surface.

Get a closer look before minor issues turn into major repairs.

Send us a message to schedule your aerial roof inspection.

Attention Chattanooga drone pilots:

If you're planning to fly around Downtown Chattanooga, the North Shore, Cameron Hill, the Tennessee River, or surrounding areas, make sure you check the airspace before takeoff.

There are active Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) in place due to FIFA World Cup-related operations. Areas that may normally be open for drone flights could now be restricted.

The FAA has issued nationwide warnings regarding World Cup no-drone zones. Flying in a restricted area can lead to substantial fines, confiscation of your drone, and possible criminal penalties.

Take a few minutes to check before you launch. It's a lot easier than explaining a violation to the FAA later.
