The perfect example of a symbiotic relationship, and I had so much fun watching. Bison and Starlings! Yes, starlings are a non-native invasive species and cause issues elsewhere…but here, they both benefit. The starlings feed on the bugs that bug the bison. The starlings get an easy meal, and the bison get a little relief.

Just a few of my metal prints that will be available at this Saturday’s “Art by the Lake” at the Fenimore Art Museum !! These prints are on handmade vinyl boards available with or without the board, and can easily be put on different ones as well! I’ll also have so many other things, so come on by! 10am-5pm rain or shine ♥️.

Watching these guys hunt each morning and night while we were on Swans Island is one of my favorite things. Also, while watching them all I can hear in my head is the song “Turn! Turn! Turn!” by The Byrds. The Common Tern is an expert plunge diver, and I am not yet an expert plunge diver photographer 😂😂
