.d.singh and I got to work two fantastic weddings this summer, the second one (pictured) was in the middle of nowhere, but it was absolutely breathtaking.
Currently busy on edits, but will share some sneak peeks when I'm working!

I wanted to let you all know that I will be on vacation starting today until August 9th. During this time, Velvet Noir Studios will be taking a short break to recharge and gather inspiration for future projects.

More packing with Meer in the studio today.
Over a year in this beautiful space, makes me think of all the happy memories and the excitement of making it my own.
Again, I am still offering all of my photography services - I'm just letting go of the studio.
I know this space will make an artist very happy.

Last week I got to take photos for this young man!
Devin has been pushing for reforms, meeting with senators and officials, and has shown an interest in pursuing a career in politics. That I'd why he will be published in "Inspirational Teen" magazine and "Newsweek".

Knowing Devin since he was in elementary school, it was an absolute delight to see the well spoken and driven young man he has become.
I wish him an his wonderful family nothing but the absolute best 💜

UPDATING to say clearly, I am still 100% continuing my photography business. I am just letting the studio space go.

Dear Clients and Friends,

As many of you know, I am the proud owner of two wonderful businesses: Velvet Noir Studios LLC, specializing in portrait and event photography, and The Lythik Noir Collective, offering handmade and vintage items with a darker aesthetic.

Today, I am thrilled to announce that The Lythik Noir Collective will be opening a shop on Main Street in Oneonta! This new chapter is incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to share our unique collections with you in our new space. We hope to have this space ready and open by late September or early October. We will be taking over where the Superheroes in Ripped Jeanes Thrift Store was located at 250 Main Street.

However, this change also means that I will be making a significant adjustment to Velvet Noir Studios. In order to support the new shop, I will be giving up my beloved studio space in the historic CANO building. This decision was not made lightly, as I have cherished every moment spent in that beautiful studio. The space provided by CANO has been an inspiring and wonderful environment, and I am deeply appreciative of the opportunity to have worked there.

While I may no longer have a permanent studio space, I want to assure you all that Velvet Noir Studios will continue to offer all the same photography services. If a client needs a studio space for their photos, I can still rent a space as needed to ensure we capture the perfect moments together. My commitment to delivering high-quality, personalized photography experiences remains unchanged. I will have the space through the end of July, but will be spending most of the month clearing out the space and preparing it for the next lucky artist.

For those interested, the studio space at CANO will soon be available for rent. It’s a fantastic location in a historic building, and I highly recommend it to any fellow artists or photographers looking for a creative workspace.

Thank you all for your continued support and understanding during this transition. I am excited about the future and look forward to continuing to capture your special moments with the same passion and dedication.

Bring a neurodivergent business owner comes with special challenges. I sometimes forget things... Like sharing the finished photos from the Shrek show that I have been finished with for at least a month.
