Lover of turquoise, dogs and anything that will satisfy my sweet tooth - I can blame my Grandma for that one. Growing up on a small cow-calf operation in southern Minnesota I always imagined myself growing up to be a large animal veterinarian. I even rode along with my local vet from the time I was nine into high school. Fast-forward a few years to my time at South Dakota State (go big, go blue, g
o jacks) and you’ll find me, sitting in a classroom, realizing how much I hate chemistry. I took a communications class and realized I had found what I loved. I loved all of it; the storytelling, the design, the creative freedom and the photography. Looking back on my childhood, I think everyone knew deep down I was meant to do something more creative. Soon after that realization, Kendra Marie Photography and Design was born. Today, I live in Pella, Iowa - home of Tulip Time, cobblestone streets and the nicest people you’ll meet - with my corgi, Hartley.
