Some late night studio practice ft our whippet puppy, Extra!

Extra came home a few months ago and made himself right at home. He’s related so many of my favorite whippets and I see so much of them in him as he matures. He’s charmed all of us & spends most of his day playing bitey face and napping with his Aussie friends.

We have a lot of fun plans for this dude & adore having him around. He is silly, confident, outgoing and sweet and just a good buddy to have around 💖

A couple of my favorites from our special Valentines Day hike with 💖🤩 I love seeing their bond shine through these photos! Baby Fleetwood has gotten so big since I last saw her & she is all spice and drive! Extra charmed both her & Kai and I can’t wait for more time out in the woods with my friends this summer 😍

AHBA Hearts & Flowers trial at PackLeader was a blast! I learned more in one day than I have in years of studying and reading on my own. I had so many huge lightbulb moments that have motivated me to get out and start trialing my own dogs, finally.

I have said so many times this week that I would walk away from just about every other sport to focus on herding full time.

My vision for the future only gets clearer. One day, we’ll be working on our own ranch and teaching people about these incredible dogs and how regenerative farming can help heal the planet. That’s what is keeping me grounded through all the noise.

I am so grateful for my dogs, my instructor & judges who take time to welcome newbies. I am so out of my element in this world, but I trust my dogs and we are learning, together.

This is what it is all about, for me. I love watching dogs work with their handlers to accomplish any goal.

to entire summer days spent in the lake. I think this was 2022?

I can’t wait to get back in the water with the dogs and am looking forward to a jam-packed summer of dock diving, coursing, and adventures alongside the dogs.

Things feel pretty dark and I am - as always - grateful to the dogs who keep me looking ahead with hope and excitement.
