The Photographers Club of Omaha had their monthly competition last night. The subject of the month was “Toilets”. At first I thought it was ridiculous, but then had fun coming up with ideas. It was a challenge with this subject to create photos that evoke wonder, emotion, or have a sense of story, which is often my goal in photography. I have also included my 3 Open Class photos which can be of any subject.

Hydrant parties are something I always wanted to do but have never done until this week. I had so much fun capturing it on camera I forgot to get wet myself!

My friend Heidi knows how to express emotion so much better than I do. She is a reminder to me that there is joy in God’s presence, and that He is present even in our grief. 🥰😢.
If you are a praying person, please pray for her recovery from a stroke 🙏🏼

I took a photography class at the beautiful local Lauritzen Gardens. The funny thing is, my favorite two photos were not of flowers, but of people. Flowers are beautiful, but somehow photos with people invite me in. They make me wonder what the people are thinking or feeling. There’s a connection.
