These two are seriously some of the nicest people I’ve met. 💛

So in love, so down to earth, and SO easygoing. They were basically willing to do whatever I asked, which made this session way too much fun and we had a lot of giggles. 😂

And then the location decided to show off. The sunlight was perfect, the reflections in the lakes were incredible, and we even got the sun peeking over the mountains as it started to set. I don’t think I could’ve asked for better conditions for a Colorado elopement session.

Colorado really showed off for us this night.

Elopement photography tip today: don't plan your entire day around portraits

I know that sounds funny coming from a photographer. 😂😅

But honestly, you and I both don't want your elopement to be hours of “okay, now stand here and smile at me.”

It's important to build your day around the things you actually want to do together. Want to hike to a viewpoint? Do it.
Want to stop and have a picnic with a mountain view? Absolutely.
Want to spend an hour exploring, reading your vows somewhere quiet, or popping champagne after your ceremony? Make room for it.

Those are the moments I'll be photographing too. The laughing, the wandering, the happy tears, the random little things you probably won't even think about until you see them in your gallery.

I want your gallery to bring back the little things you might otherwise forget... how excited you were, the way you looked at each other, the feeling of standing somewhere beautiful with your favorite person.

Your elopement is the adventure. The photos are how you get to relive it. 💛
