Do you know someone who is 8+ months pregnant? I'm looking for one or two families that would have interest in a free of charge "Fresh 48" photo session.

A "Fresh 48" photo session is described as, a special session for new families who want the first few hours of their newborn’s life captured without having the entire labor or birth documented. Held within the first 24-48 hours of your baby’s life, these lifestyle sessions are perfect for remembering that first day forever. I will come to the hospital within 48 hours. This is NOT a birth session or a standard newborn session with posing of the baby and is taken with immediate family only (no guests) in your recovery room.

If you know someone who will be having a baby soon and may have interest, just have them send me a quick message.

This is a FREE session, but due to a couple recent situations where I have had a time setup and then a last second back out, I will require a minimal deposit that is fully refunded after photos are taken.

It’s easy to find frustrations, rather than celebrate successes early on in a journey. About one month ago, I stepped outside my very small comfort zone with my camera. As my extremely short timeline of pictures shows, most of my picture taking has been of objects. This is largely because you don’t have to think on your feet with an inanimate subject. But my joy and energy really comes from capturing the emotion of people. Young, old or anything in between. Back in May, I had a large failure, but one that provided humbling growth. I had asked around my personal network for opportunities to do a free family portrait session. I quickly learned that not taking control of the shoot will just lead to poorly executed photos. After combing through hundreds and not loving more than one or two was an extremely disappointing position to be in. I am thankful for the opportunity to grow from the situation and take the next step on the journey. The images in this post are the few I loved out of the hundreds that disappointed. Time to turn the page and thanks for stopping by.
