These were photographed earlier this year for the ongoing project I’ve been working on the last 4 years, called Mother. An attempt to show postpartum life and motherhood as it actually is - the exhaustion, the tenderness, the physical load nobody prepares you for. My hope is that someone looking at these recognizes a part of their own postpartum experience that rarely gets shown. Shot on Kodak portra400 and tri-x400 and developed by the best Carmencita Film Lab - Lisboa.
