“Let the wind be part of the story” was what I was repeating to myself the entire day.

What was supposed to be a stormy day, turned out to be a very windy day for an outdoor ceremony and a long veil.

Madeleine and Brady decided to embrace it and ended up having their ceremony outside. They also trusted me to get these incredible wind swept bridal portraits.

I simultaneously am obsessed with the stage I’m in right now focusing on my athletic performance and managing my work load appropriately, and at the same time am very much looking forward to the day I can bend my rules a little bit and lean into creating even more.

Every piece of work I do, every session scheduled, every styled shoot planned, is so carefully chosen based off if it stays on track with my personal goals

Photographing another artist’s work is a different kind of responsibility.

You’re trying to honor the way they see their own creation. I spent some time making sure Jaden’s ceramic work felt as true in the images as it does in person.

Trust the vision ;)

Sometimes it turns out, sometimes it doesn't! The best thing you can do is lean into whatever the idea is with your best intention, and luckily we have digital cameras now, can take as many shots as needed, and throw them away if we don't like them!

The girls felt funny doing this one, but I'd say it was worth it.
