The Great Egret migration officially hit the area, and I had a front-row seat to the action. I watched this beauty methodically clearing out the local fish pond—right up until the resident Great Blue Heron decided he wasn’t in the mood for company.

I managed to catch this frame at the perfect moment: literally squeezing the water right out of his catch before lunch. 📸✨

During a recent trip to the northern country, I sought an escape from my thoughts. As I was stopped at an intersection, another vehicle passed by kicking up dust from the gravel road. The cool temps and calm wind caused the dust from the dry roadway to linger in the air, creating an intriguing, almost foggy appearance.
