Found this injured hawk in our backyard one July evening. His wing seemed to be troubling him. Needed a rest, poor thing. He chose my husband’s old lawnmower as his perch, it was such a cool mix of wilderness and rustic machinery. We were happy to offer him our backyard as a safe space for him to recover, before continuing his journey.

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is the editing process. It gives me a chance to express my creativity and vision. I like manipulating my photos’ light, detail, and colors to produce new and interesting effects. For example, I bought a simple bouquet from Walmart for $5 and used it as a subject for some experiments. I was very happy with the results!
