I am mainly located in south to northeastern PA. Strato is my 2017 Ford Explorer. Always watch the changing skies.

** STRONG STORMS POSSIBLE THURSDAY **

As we begin to see increasing heat and humidity, the airmass will also come with a risk of stronger thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening. A disturbance will move into the region, helping to spark showers and thunderstorms. There will be a lot of heat, humidity, and instability, but the wind shear (change of wind speed with height) will be a bit lacking, so storm clusters may not be long-lived.

Right now, strong wind gusts of 45 - 55 mph will be possible with an additional risk for heavy rainfall and lightning. The best timing for these storms will occur between 1 - 9 PM.

➡️ An additional strong storm threat may also materialize on Friday, over nearly the same areas.

Well, today is a sunny day, and I pulled out my telescope to get some sun pics. Nothing super cool is going on, but here you go: Normal, inverted ( this one is two images merged together), and a single shot (testing to see if I can get the prominences and solar surface together in one image)

So there's a running joke with my storm buddies that no matter where I'm at, the good storms keep far from me. If I'm in the Poconos they are south, if I'm in boyertown they are north.

Shout out to the one night back in 2024 waiting for a good storm to come down here in Boyertown and it completely went around us. The clouds wanted to make sure I felt annoyed 😒 🙄😏
