I'm Payton; adventurer, life enthusiast, and photographer. I love to work with madly-in-love couples who are down for any adventure, don't mind a little dirt on their shoes or wind in their hair, and ready to have a crazy amount of fun. We can go to the top of a mountain, out in the woods, down a city street, or even just cozy up in a coffee shop for a while. Every couple has a unique love story,

and it is my utmost goal for your session to be completely and utterly YOU. So prepare yourself for a session full of adventure, having fun, being yourself, and laughing a heck of a lot (if my dancing attempts don't get you, my bad puns surely will). hello! it’s me! i am once again realizing i never share my own face on my feed and if you’re an engaged couple on the search for a kickass wedding photographer who will make you feel like a million bucks and give you wedding photos that aren’t boring, you probably wanna know what that photographer looks like. so here we are. hi :)

i’m payton! if you’re looking for someone really fun to follow you around with a camera on your wedding day without making it feel like a photoshoot, i am the she/they y’allternative you seek. with no sense of hierarchy, here are other things i enjoy:

- bringing up deep questions at any party or social event
- owning a projector instead of a tv (the VIBES)
- candlelit wedding receptions
- supporting my fave local/small businesses over big corporations
- cozy nights in doing my latest hyperfixation hobby (right now it’s air-dry clay)
- a sunday reset cleaning day OH that scratches my brain just right
- shopping secondhand
- cloud inversions in the mountains
- being the dad of my friend group (have you checked your tire pressure recently?)
- reading and sipping tea in my favorite chair by my favorite window
- being the most leo sign to ever leo in the history of leos
- luxurious wedding photos that still feel real and nostalgic and emotive
- hosting dinner parties
- adding my emotional support “lol” to most of my sentences lol
- sunrise hikes
- being able to say the sentence, “yeah I went to the eras tour in paris,” which is very high on my ranking of coolest things i’ve ever done
- fit checks
- listening to tv shows like a podcast
- seeing couples plan whatever kind of wedding day they want, whether it’s in nyc or a national park 🫶🏻
- a good list

when two professional musicians get married đź’«
jp and stephen’s wedding day was my last wedding of the year, and i couldn’t have imagined a more perfect season finale. they planned the most intimate backyard wedding in their own garden with their pets dottie and dill in attendance. the moment i walked in, i was in awe of what a beautiful day, a beautiful home, and a beautiful life they have created together. though their celebration was small, they planned every detail out with the most thoughtfulness and intention, from the custom place cards for each of their guests to the tulip bulbs they gifted to everyone (including me 🥹). they are such warm, lovely people, and having them as my last wedding of the year felt like a little gift from the universe to remind me once again why i do what i do and why i love it so damn much 💫
