Let's give the O-line some love for doing hard work and letting the QBs, RBs, and WRs take (almost) all the credit on big plays!

Here are a few shots from a couple of different plays. The last 3 photos are from the same sequence where you can peep big man #55, Cook, saying "not today" with the block that let RB #11 find enough space for an effective run on the play.

In the wide-angle view of this play, you can see the entire O-line hitting their blocks.

And in the zoomed in view, you can see opposing player #99 with a single finger under the jersey of #11... so close!

But in the words of one of my favorite old State Farm commercials.. "Oooh, you almost had it. You gotta be quicker than that!"😜

This is what it looks like when you're 13 and your Defense stops a touchdown attempt inside the 1 yard line! #44 was calling it short, and then once the Ref finally ruled it short, he had to run off and celebrate! It was a huge play for Newcastle!

A few more pics from Newcastle last weekend. Love seeing all their athleticism and grit come through these photos.

Do you know what it takes to get shots like these?

It takes a great camera body shooting at high frame rate to even have a chance at capturing the exact moment a football is caught.

And it takes a long lens to get close enough to the action to make it relevant in frame. If you've seen my camera lens, you know it's big!!!

Me editing your kid's photos looks a lot like me yelling "Yesssss!" at my computer screen when they make a big play, and then my kids asking me what happened over and over again.

I'm not sure you'll find a non-parent more excited about your kid's big plays than me!

Do you remember the moment in your life when you started to believe in yourself?

Fun Fact: I shot these at my daughter's 5U soccer game in 2020 where we just happened to be playing against a dear friend of mine's daughter, Miss Karli Reneau, pictured here. I actually misplaced this SD card for a while, but recently found it again, and was absolutely ELATED when I went back through the pics and found this sequence a few weeks ago.

I remember watching this game in person, because Karli was a go-getter on the field. On a mission to the ball, not timid, and had amazing ball control for a 5 year old!

She went in for this goal and scored! And then on the way back to the other side of the field, she threw her hands up in complete joy and said, "YESSS!"

Seeing the pride on her little face really just brought tears to my eyes. This is what it's all about, Friends. Way more than goals and Ws and Ls at the end of a season. It's about a tiny person learning to trust their skills, believe in their abilities, go for it!

Yes, Sweet Girl! YESSS!

I just happened to be on the right side of the field to capture her two biggest fans cheering her on in the background. In the full photo, you can see both mom and dad supporting her. Such a special moment to capture forever!
