You think you’ll remember this stage. You won’t.

You think you’ll remember the way they reach for your hand. The way their little voice says “Mommy.”

The curls that somehow appeared overnight. The tiny freckles across their nose.

You think you’ll remember the way they fit perfectly on your hip, or how they still ask you to carry them even though they’re getting so big.

Then one day, they don’t.

Motherhood changes so gradually that we hardly notice it happening until we’re looking back.

I think that’s why photographs matter so much.

Not because they’re perfect.
Not because everyone is smiling.

They matter because they bring you back to a season that quietly slipped away.

One day you’ll look at these images and remember exactly who they were… and who you were, too.

Pregnancy asks so much of you.

The appointments.
The planning.
The nursery.
The endless decisions.
The wondering if you’re doing enough.

Then your baby arrives, and suddenly everyone needs something from you.

I don’t believe your newborn photos should be one more thing to manage.

You shouldn’t have to spend hours shopping for outfits, figuring out what photographs well, packing props, stressing over whether your toddler will cooperate, or wondering what to do with your images afterward.

Just show up.

I’ll guide you every step of the way. Wardrobe is ready for your entire family. Hair and makeup are taken care of. Your session moves at your baby’s pace with plenty of time for feeding, changing, and cuddling. Then, when it’s all over, I help you choose the artwork that will actually live in your home instead of disappearing into a folder on your phone.

Motherhood is already asking you to carry enough.

Your photography experience shouldn’t add to the weight. It should take some of it off your shoulders.

And years from now, when your tiny newborn is suddenly heading off to kindergarten or asking for the car keys, you’ll be so thankful you gave yourself the chance to remember exactly how they fit in your arms.

Has anyone else blinked and suddenly realized summer is almost over?

This season has absolutely flown by. Between sessions, traveling for work, family vacations, prepping for Dancing for a Miracle with Children's Health Foundation , and all of the little moments in between, it feels like I’ve packed a lifetime into just a few short months.

I hope your summer has been filled with the good stuff. Sticky popsicle fingers, late bedtimes, water days, road trips, backyard dinners, vacations, laughter, searching for fireflies, and the kind of memories your kids will still be talking about years from now. I also hope you’ve found a few moments to simply slow down and enjoy them.

I’m officially heading out of the studio for a much-needed break through August 3. My youngest turns FIVE this week (I’m not sure how that’s even possible 😭), and I’m soaking up every minute of celebrating with my family.

I’ll pop back in next Tuesday for our Santa Experience release, then I’ll be right back to sweet family time before returning to the studio.

Wishing you all the sweetest end to your summer. Make the memories. Take the pictures. Put your phone down once in a while. Be present. These days really do go by so much faster than we ever imagine. ♥️

“I have never seen photos of myself where I feel truly beautiful until these.”

Mom said this during her reveal, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.

Pregnancy can change the way you see yourself. Your body feels different, your confidence can feel unfamiliar, and being in front of a camera may be the last thing you feel ready for.

But then you see yourself through a different lens.

Not just pregnant. Not just waiting. Not just counting down the weeks.

You see the woman carrying this baby. The strength in her. The softness in her. The beauty everyone else has been able to see all along.

This is why maternity sessions matter so much to me. Every mom deserves to look at her photos and finally see what the people who love her already see.

I wish I could step back into this exact moment for just a minute. 🥹

My girls, wearing my wedding dresses, kissing their daddy on the cheek last year. So little, so joyful, and completely unaware of how quickly these years would pass.

As we approach my youngest daughter’s fifth birthday, I find myself feeling all of it. The gratitude. The pride. The ache of realizing the babies I once held against my chest are now growing into these big girls right in front of me.

Sometimes, while holding one of my tiny newborn clients, I get emotional remembering how small my own girls once were. It feels like yesterday, and somehow a lifetime ago.

I love the season we are in now, but motherhood is always a little bittersweet. You are so proud of who they are becoming while quietly missing every version of them that came before.

This photograph now lives as artwork in our home, and one day, I envision their own wedding photos surrounding it.

And I know when that day comes, I will look back at these little girls in my dresses and wonder how time could have possibly moved so fast. 😭

I don’t think any parent ever imagines hearing words like, “Your child is critically ill.”

I’ve stood in those rooms.

I’ve cried with those families.

That’s why Dancing for a Miracle means so much to me.

I’m raising money for the Children’s Health Foundation so more Oklahoma children have access to life-changing care close to home.
