One studio. One team. A whole lot of passion, power, and personality.

Every year, I have the honor of photographing the incredible competition teams at Ardour Dance Centre and creating this one-of-a-kind composite featuring every dancer.

And honestly... seeing them all come together like this is one of my favorite parts.

From the tiniest dancers taking their first steps into competition to the seasoned dancers who have grown up in the studio, every one of these faces represents hours of dedication, determination, friendship, and a love for dance.

She thought they were taking maternity portraits. He had a very different plan.

Ela and Dexter were already celebrating one of the most exciting chapters of their lives, their growing family. Then, right in the middle of their session, Dexter turned their maternity session into a surprise proposal.

And I got to be there to capture it all.

The surprise.
The nervous anticipation.
The tears.
The joy.
That beautiful moment when she realized what was happening.

These are the moments I love most about what I do, not just creating beautiful portraits, but getting to preserve the stories and milestones that make them meaningful.

Ela & Dexter, thank you for trusting me with such an incredibly special moment. I am so excited for everything this next chapter holds for your growing family.

A little downtown Ogden, a lot of love, and two people who make my job ridiculously easy.

Jessi and Skot’s engagement session was everything I love about photographing couples. We wandered through downtown Ogden, found beautiful little pockets of the city, laughed a lot, and I coached them through the posing so they could forget about the camera and just enjoy each other.

Because the best engagement portraits aren’t really about posing.

They’re about the way you look at each other when you think nobody’s watching.

Jessi & Skot, I can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes you. Your love is pretty darn fun to photograph.

Mikayla’s senior session came with a little bit of everything… including a dramatic grand finale.

We laughed, explored the park, created some beautiful portraits, and then the sky decided it was time to wrap things up with a GIANT rainstorm.

Because apparently, every good senior session needs a little adventure.

And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

One of the biggest concerns parents share with me is, “My teen hates having their picture taken.”
Honestly?
That doesn’t worry me at all.
Most of my seniors aren’t models. They’re athletes, musicians, artists, gamers, dancers, honor students, and teenagers who would much rather be doing almost anything else.
That’s why I spend so much time getting to know them, making them laugh, and coaching them every step of the way.
The goal isn’t to create perfect poses.
The goal is to capture genuine personality.
That’s where the magic happens.

I had way too much fun photographing her yesterday, and I love that she captured a little behind-the-scenes peek at what a headshot session with me is actually like. Some people are known for what they do. Others are known for who they are. Javier Chavez is both.

For more than 35 years, Javier has been serving the Ogden community with incredible food, a welcoming smile, and a generosity that reaches far beyond his restaurant.

It was an honor to photograph Mayor Ben Nadolski recognizing Javier for the impact he’s made on our community. This celebration wasn’t just about a successful business, it was about a man who has spent decades bringing people together around the table and making Ogden a better place.

Congratulations to Javier and his beautiful family! This recognition is so well deserved, and I’m grateful I had the opportunity to capture such a meaningful evening.

If you’ve never been to Javier’s Mexican Food... you’re missing out on more than amazing food. You’re missing out on getting to know one of the genuinely wonderful people in our community.
