Hi friends: I’m Allie–a visual storyteller drawn to the real stuff: the delight of a wedding day, the magic in a child’s belly laugh, the thoughtful details behind a brand’s story, and a whole lot of in-between! Chasing light & kids since ‘14: I officially launched my creative business in 2014, the year I also became a mom. Though I’ve been documenting life for as long as I can remember, something
about capturing my own kiddo’s childhoods brought everything into focus. While my transition to motherhood wasn’t smooth, it revealed what I now hold close: life is rarely either-or. A new perspective (or “frame” if you will) that has changed everything for me. Business in the front, party in the back energy: That contrast now lives at the heart of my work as I blend two creative worlds: Allie Schroeder Studios, which is rooted in the polished charm of editorial storytelling and Gingersnaps, which leans into the playful, lighthearted wonder that speaks to everyone’s inner child, whether you’re three or one-hundred-and-three. I offer both video + photo, merging two worlds once again–motion that moves and stills that stay. Because moments don’t sit still: To me, storytelling isn’t just about what’s captured in the frame– it’s about the tender feeling it leaves behind and one your heart can return to time and time again. This work continues to show me that honoring both the story behind you and the story ahead is where the real magic lives–and I still feel a little spark each time I click the shutter! Where stories get told in the best light: With a background in family life, I have a deep love for understanding people. My hope is that everyone who steps in front of my camera feels loved, comfortable, and deeply seen–come exactly as you are and stay as your story unfolds.
