If you are one of the many people who asked me about the weirdest photo someone has ever asked me to take, you’ve heard me tell the tale of two groomsmen kissing a heart-shaped donut over a toilet. I’m posting this because it’s ridiculously funny, but also because no photographer worth their salt should ever say no to capturing something so random when their client asks. In the moment, you might have … questions … but in the end, inside jokes and comical personalities are the core of your relationship with your wedding party crew. You never know what is meaningful to them or the client, no matter how outlandish it might be.

Kids are always so raw and natural in front of the camera. Totally free to be their true weirdo selves it almost makes me envious. We adults have to go through all the layers of the onion with someone before we can feel comfortable enough to let the freak flags fly. Yes, it’s ok to have kids at your wedding if you want. They provide a lot of entertaining photos and help enhance the overall emotion of the day.
