✨ MATERNITY SESSION FAQ ✨
Because growing a human within your body deserves to be documented beautifully!
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
The earlier, the better! Especially if you want sunset dates or specific seasons/locations. I book out months prior. Most mamas book during the beginning of their second trimester.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PHOTOGRAPH MATERNITY PHOTOS?
I prefer to shoot usually between 30-34 weeks.
Your bump is beautifully round, but you’re typically still comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the session. (Because as you should!)
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
I help with all of that. 🤎
Flowy dresses, oversized knits, jeans, wrapped fabrics, bare belly moments, we’ll create a look that feels like you. I always recommend neutral, timeless pieces that photograph beautifully. I have a very extensive, ever growing client collection that each and every one of my mama clients are welcome to. I carry sizes XS-5X! I also have a tiny client wardrobe selection within my collection well, I love including your kids in styling!
CAN MY PARTNER/KIDS JOIN?
Absolutely.
Your maternity session is about your growing family, not just the bump. Partners, babies, toddlers, and ALL the chaos are welcome here. 🫶
WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Beach, open fields, wildflowers, in-home, water sessions, even your own property.
I help choose locations based on the vibe and look you want. Soft and intimate, moody and artistic, playful and documentary, etc. This is all stuff we talk about and go over in preparation for your session.
I FEEL AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA… HELP.
Almost every mama says this before their session. 😂
You do not need modeling experience. I guide you naturally the entire time so your photos feel emotive, connected, and real instead of stiff and overly posed.
CAN I SHOW MORE SKIN?
YES. And I encourage it if you're comfortable!
Some mamas want soft and cozy, others want bold, artistic, intimate, and empowering. We can fully customize your session to your comfort level.
WHAT IF MY KIDS DON’T COOPERATE?
Then we embrace it. 🤎
Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments, cuddles, movement, laughter, holding your babies close. I never expect perfection.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! I know photography is an investment, and I try to make it manageable whenever possible.
WHY ARE MATERNITY PHOTOS SO IMPORTANT?
Because one day your children will look back and see where their story started.
These photos become proof that you were here… loving them before you ever held them. 🤎
