My love for photography started in 2009 on a mountain in Haiti. That was the year I took the first of 26 trips that have irrevocably changed me and the lens through which I see the world. To share the stories of our beloved Haitian brothers and sisters with our US community, I needed natural, authentic photos. I could not hire a photographer every trip so I borrowed a camera and taught myself how

to take a picture and make it come alive. Since then, I have learned how to capture the beauty of a person in a timeless way. Whether it is siblings interacting, a first birthday, or a 50th wedding anniversary, I am observing and creating ways to photograph each person so that he or she is brought to life through a still framed photo and all while having fun! The compliment I hear the most is “that was not stressful at all and the kids had fun!”

"Beyond the Lens" photo shoots are experiences for women and girls with a focus on capturing natural, authentic images.

The sessions create safe spaces that empower girls of all ages (from 11 to 111!) to celebrate & be the truest version of themselves.

These shoots focus on who YOU are as a person. Not who people say you are, not who people want you to be, but your natural, organic self. Natural here does not mean that we don’t wear make-up or fancy clothes (those can be fun!) - it just means we aim to reflect in your photos the truest version of who you are.

I am a confident, relational photographer with an artistic eye who combines intentional dialogue, no time limit, the beauty of nature, and YOU to create beautiful portraits.

Outer beauty does not make you confident. Knowing who you are does.

I would be honored to see and celebrate you with my camera.
