The newest Mr. and Mrs. Jackson. 🤍

Ella and Lee’s wedding day this past weekend at a private estate in Wilmington, North Carolina was truly so special to be part of.

One of the greatest honors as a wedding photographer is being trusted by someone within the wedding industry to document their own wedding day, so the fact that Ella is a wedding planner herself made this celebration especially meaningful to me.

Beyond how beautiful everything was, what stood out most was the joy surrounding these two all day long. From their closest friends to their families, every part of the day felt so welcoming, heartfelt, and full of genuine celebration.

There are far too many favorite moments from this day to fit into one post, but I’m so excited to finally share a glimpse into such an incredible wedding weekend.

While I was in New York, told me that my grid was due to see my face again, so here we are. 🤭

Truthfully I’m much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, but I’ve been making more of an effort to show a little more of myself on here.

May is one of my busiest months this year, so life lately has looked like long editing days, packing and unpacking suitcases, and getting ready this week to head back to North Carolina for another beautiful wedding weekend.

Feeling very thankful for this season of life!

It’s officially wedding month for Charlie and Dana so sharing their sweet engagement photos to celebrate.

It was absolutely freezing and windy the night of their engagement session in Wilmington, but they trusted the process, leaned into it, and made the whole night feel easy and fun anyway. Those are always my favorite kinds of sessions and my favorite kinds of couples.

I have a feeling their wedding at Brooklyn Art Center is going to be something really special. 🤍

When people think about wedding design, they often think about the details first. The linens, the chairs, the florals, the place settings.

But the real magic happens when you step back and see how it all comes together. The room, the light, the landscape, the people, the atmosphere. The way a space feels once it is full and the night begins.

The most beautiful weddings are never just about the details. And they are never just about the big picture either. They are about how it feels when you walk into the room for the first time, take it all in, and realize all of your favorite people are there in one place, because of you.

That is something people never forget.

We are only a couple of weeks away from NYBFW, and I honestly could not be more excited.

There is something so inspiring about being surrounded by artistry, beautiful construction, bold ideas, and creative energy, and getting to experience it alongside industry friends makes it all the more special.

These images are from the fall showcase, and the textures, silhouettes, and drama were a dream.

Counting down the days until I get to be there again.

An ode to golden hour.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is when a couple sneaks away for a few quiet minutes together as the sun begins to set.

After the ceremony, the hugs, and the excitement of the day, everything slows down for a moment. It’s a chance to step away from the celebration for a few minutes together. A moment to breathe, look at each other, and take in the fact that the day you’ve spent months planning is finally here.

Those few minutes away from the crowd aren’t just about the portraits. They’re about giving the two of you space to actually experience your wedding day together.
