After celebrating Father’s Day here last night, I can confirm: the magic is still there. There is something about the chaos and rhythm of a professional kitchen that makes every bite taste better.

American food! Some people visiting for World Cup have been commenting on things like free soda refills, IN-N-OUT burgers, ranch dressing, and BBQ to name a few. What is one food item that’s very American that you would have a visitor try? I think I’ll go with BBQ. The tender smoky goodness is hard to beat. (Thanks to Krieg from 96H Brand Catering for today’s BBQ!) I know you take pics of your food. Let’s see some! 🍔🍕

Are you into World Cup? I went to watch the France-Senegal match yesterday and got caught up in the fever. Yesterday was a good day for people looking to see the stars of the game like Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi deliver legendary performances. I look at this charging station in the East Bay and wonder—if gas is this expensive, why aren't more of us jumping to EV? Is the fear of not finding a charger in time just too real? Has anyone been holding back because they’re worried the infrastructure isn't quite there yet? For me, my hybrid works fine and I don’t have to charge it. However I still have to get gas. 💵💵 Are you thinking of going full electric or have you already? I see a lot of Teslas on my way to work.

Last night Cristina Rendon anchored her last newscast at KTVU after more than 12 years at the station. She and her family and moving to her native Texas to be closer to relatives there. Good luck Cristina! It was a pleasure to work with you.

Seen just moments ago in the wild. Truck 19, from the house near Stonestown, on Taraval Street. Growing up I knew all the numbers of all the houses in SF by heart! Still do. Do you live near a firehouse?

Throwback: Almost 30 years later, before and after. I took both photographs. After posting the first pic on here a few weeks ago, I found these lovely people.
