A formally taught photography and video production professional for over 40 years. Serving the Oakland, Maryland and tri-state area. Senior Grad Photography, Families & Children Photography. Fashion, Modeling, Industrial, Commercial, Technical and Forensic Photography. An Adobe "Photoshop Professional", Beta Tester and consultant. Part of the select international beta testing team for the Adobe Systems release of Photoshop CS6. Member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. A beta tester, consultant and contributor to Topaz Labs Imaging software since the beginning. Software consultant and tester for several other confidential imaging software companies. Beta Tester for CamRanger hardware and software. A photography and video production, instructor, writer and consultant. I have written for several of the leading photography magazines including Peterson's PHOTOgraphic, Rangefinder, Popular Photography, Shutterbug Magazine, Videomaker, Camcorder magazine. And several emergency service magazines on the topic of in house photography and video production. A past instructional and public relations media consultant to the University of Maryland, Maryland Fire & Rescue Institute. A contributor to Digital PHOTOPRO magazine. Former instructor in photography and video production at Garrett Community College of Maryland, Allegany Community College, and the University of Maryland. And Maryland Fire & Rescue Institute. I received formal photography education from way too many venues to list. However several are stand outs in the photography world including The Triangle Institute of Photography (Professional Photographers of America)(PPA sanctioned) Also studied with various non-seminar, actual face to face classroom instruction situations with the leaders of the industry including, but not limited to: Ansel Adams, the master of Landscape Photography, The Black and White print and creator of the "Zone System". (Student, and Mentor) Dean Collins, considered by many as the creator of the present day approach to studio and location lighting. (Student and Mentor) Monte Zucker the master of portraiture (Student). Bambi Cantrell, a master of portraiture, wedding and candid photography (Student and Mentor). Anne Geddies, International master of baby and child photography.(Student) Don Blair, the master of pose. (Student) The late, Francesco Scavullo, beauty and fashion cover photographer, for Cosmopolitan Magazine. (Student) Annie Leibovitz, editorial, fashion, photographer, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair magazines.(Student) Ted Timbur, Chief Photographer, Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company. (Student- PPA) And studnt of many other famous leading professional photographer/instructors including, Pete Turner, Jay Maisel, David Hume Kennerly, James Stanfield, Robert Farber, Joel Meyerowitz, Rick Sammon. And so many more... Also formally taught in Film and Video and TV production. And led national photo training seminars for the semi annual Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute at the University of Maryland, College Park Md. for several seasons.
