Happy birthday to one of the most beautiful humans I know. Loving, fun and always up for an adventure- as long as there is food (just like his Mama). I can’t wait of the latest iteration of Trey. He keeps me on my toes, reminds me I need to be waaaayyyy more patient and that Dwight is the best -hands down- I can’t wait to keep popping popcorn, making corny jokes, learning new dances, and yelling embarrassing quotes out the car during drop off. We are all lucky to know and love you- so happy you’re here.

Packing all my bags and throwing them in the car so I can race to these 2 gorgeous humans’ wedding. So fun, adventurous and extra wonderful- I just can’t wait to celebrate and capture them. Tahoe here we cooooooome!!

Claiming your strength and connecting to your changing self feels a lot like freedom when you allow yourself to celebrate it. Obsessed is an understatement. Still in awe of this magical mama and her trust in me to honor who she is in this moment before Baby Boo arrives earth side. (Ps. Editing out ni***es on art is the most insane nonsense ever)

I’m officially in my geriatric 30s today so I’m showing my face as proof of me 😂 If we haven’t met, I’m Kati. I’m a photographer but I also Mom, sing loudly, laugh hard, eat all.the.freaking food, and absolutely adore meeting new people and connecting. I’m also a big fan of children. We vibe.

I truly believe that life is so much more beautiful and worth living when you allow yourself to be who you truly are. I’m taking that and embracing the soft life into the rest of my years.

I couldn’t get to the hospital fast enough to meet this sweet babe. Literally won the lottery on this day- I guessed her bday AND got to meet her at 12 hours old. Also, her parentals are the jam. Fresh 48s RULE 🥳

I love love. Wrapped and threaded. Intertwined enough to where your soul blurs into mine. We speak our own languages and create our own world. And it’s only visible to us. Love beyond measure.

Almost 1/2 of my sessions include Grandparents. Oftentimes they’re traveling from around the world to FINALLY lay eyes and hold their little ones. It’s pretty awesome to capture generational love ❤️

I’m always asked, when’s the best time for a newborn session? The answer is totally up to you and I keep my calendar flexible for these reasons:

• No stress sessions are the endgame
• Birth looks and feels different for everyone
• Transitioning with siblings can take time
• Sleepy , wrinkly freshie v. more awake, older baby is up to your preference

Regardless of first 24 hours or first months, they’re all filled with sweet connection + love.

NPR just taught me that a birthing parent’s brain undergoes extreme remodeling once the baby is born to prioritize their little one’s care and survival. All the brain cells we don’t use/need are essentially dumped to make space. The identity shift goes beyond a physical one. All the more reason to prioritize the sacred and magical space of postpartum.

On a side note- now if that isn’t the reason I can’t find my keys, credit cards, and repeatedly lose my driver’s license then I don’t know what is. I know some of you all are in the same boat as me 😂
