Little details. Send me an email through my contact form on my website to schedule a date or approximate date for your newborn photos. They are ideally done within 2 weeks of birth but it’s okay if it’s between 2-4. They’re more likely to be all snuggly and sleepy prior to two weeks! ❤️

To support families in the journey of bringing their babies into this world is a gift I will never take for granted. I often get asked, “What do you like to do for fun?” To which I don’t know how to respond because in my daily personal life - I don’t do much that thrills me. Very simple things I do for fun like going to try a new coffee shop or playing ball with my dog. But supporting families through child birth… now that is real fun to me. To see moms know how to advocate for themselves and to feel empowered through child birth… to see moms find their power in child birth… that is the thrill of a life time to me. People think birth workers are insane… maybe we are! 🤷🏽‍♀️ It was an honor to witness, support, and capture Mia labor her third baby completely unmedicated!

The battle it takes to bring your baby to the world is a powerful one. It calls you for more. It’s battling with all of your deepest fears and doubts about yourself.

To me - having an all female birth team is insanely powerful. To have that energy in the room supporting the mother is everything. I love that Mia’s birth team of women were all different ages & ethnicity’s.

It felt so empowering to witness, support, and capture Mia’s birth. Izabel arrived into this world through an unmedicated birth (not so much by choice.) Izabel was coming too soon for an epidural. But in that room we all knew Mia had the strength to labor Izabel down all on her own. To hear the cry’s of a mom in labor is the testament to the strength, perseverance, and power within us. You don’t know your power until you’re face to face with a journey that calls you to find every ounce of strength within. Watching a mom step into that is incredibly inspiring. Watching the switch in birth when physically we believe we can’t but mentally we choose that we CAN. That’s the moment that I love in birth. That’s the moment that makes me fall deeper and deeper in love with birth and all that it is.🔥 What an amazing birth story this day was.

Baby Gino was loved beyond measure before he was even born.

Kelsey had quite the first birth with her first son. This was planned to be her redemption birth. The birth that would change her and her traumatic past birth experience. This is was the birth that did exactly that for her. When I first met Kelsey I knew how important her son was to her and how kind of a person she was. This was an out of state birth. I traveled all of the way to Ohio just for this birth because I knew how magical it was planned to be. At our initial consultation when I first met her, an elderly woman fell and Kelsey was the first to run to the woman to help her up. Kelsey is one of those people that just radiates kindness and is just simply calming to be around.

She had everything planned out and she ensured she was educated on her rights and the birthing process for her second baby. She even became a doula. She was so dedicated to ensuring this birth was one she felt a little more in control of. Her partner even ensured he knew how to best support her during labor and he did alright. He did so well too. He fully showed up for her.

Gino arrived earthside safe and sound. This was an incredible birth to witness and attend. So much so that it made me become a doula. Kelsey brought her all to that delivery room. She left every single ounce of fear and brought all of her strength. To see her labor and show up for herself fully while surrendering completely was so powerful to watch.

Kelsey's mom passed away and when we first talked she told me all about how important her mom is to her and how awesome of a woman she is. She said this, "I NEEDED it documented to be able to later help me process my whole motherhood journey. I knew my mom would be there and I NEEDED the photos taken so that I could see her. A photo can answer so many questions, it can heal so much to be able to tangibly hold onto a memory. There is so much power in photography." After seeing her Birth gallery once it was all over she said she could see her mom in the photos.

I thought to myself: mission accomplished. When I enter a birth your wishes are my mission.

Thank you for trusting me, Kelsey. There are no words to say how honored I was to attend your last birth. This birth happened just as everything was shutting down. This will be engraved as one of the wildest things I have probably ever done. Photograph a birth during a Pandemic.

I passed my exam and have finished my training! 🥳 More information to come! ❤️ I’m quite excited.
