The Dream & The Dew 🌙🍄
The forest doesn’t run on clocks. It runs on dreams, dew, and the quiet magic of things growing exactly when they’re meant to.
Forest Incident Report #001: The Pantry Portal Incident 🍵
📍 Location: An old locker hidden in the meadow.
To ordinary wanderers, it’s forgotten storage.
To Sunny, it’s a pocket dimension inherited from her great-aunt—the original Tea Witch.
Inside:
🌿 Left door: Biscuits, nap shawls, and first-aid moss.
🌙 Right door: Herbs sorted by moon phase and mood.
What Happened
The pantry-portal, mid-way through sorting dreams for Tuesday night, glitched.
It flung out every single jar of dried herbs directly into the north creek.
The creek, suddenly caffeinated became sentient for 6 hours.
The creek used its new consciousness to write a 1-star review of the forest and further requested Calla and Sunny’s ban.
Sunny’s clothesline — full of dream-catching shawls — got tangled in the fallout and launched into the air like a tulle meteor. The butterflies showed up because they heard the calla lilies screaming. The mushrooms are taking minutes for the Council.
Damage Assessment
✨ Pantry portal now hangs on one hinge and leaks glitter every Tuesday.
🌿 Forty-seven jars of herbs merged into Espresso Creek. The frogs didn’t sleep for three days.
🧺 One clothesline became what Calla insists is now an art installation.
💚 Sunny’s patience was declared officially extinct.
Official Sentence
The Council of Oaks ruled:
“Chaotically beautiful... with significant property damage.”
Punishment:
Twenty paces apart. Magically tethered together. Community service until the creek calmed down.
Final Report
The pantry portal never quite closed again.
It slowly became the forest’s community pantry.
When Calla finally reached for Sunny’s hand to apologize, their magic intertwined, creating Apology Moss—a tiny glowing mushroom that only blooms when someone truly means I’m sorry.
The creek still brews decaf whenever it rains.
Some doors were never meant to stay closed. Some we accidents become traditions. And sometimes, the strongest friendships begin as beautifully inconvenient disasters ✨🍄🌙
