Your baby's first pictures should tell their story.
One of my favorite parts of being a newborn photographer is getting to create something that is truly personal to each family.
For this little one, we incorporated elements of their Indian heritage into the session, creating a portrait that celebrates where this family comes from and the traditions they want to pass down.
The peacock feathers are especially meaningful in Indian culture. The peacock is India's national bird and is deeply connected to Indian art, mythology, and tradition, including its well-known association with Lord Krishna.
Even the colors and details can carry meaning. Red, for example, has long been associated with auspiciousness, fertility, prosperity, and new beginnings in different Indian traditions.
This is why I love when families bring their culture, traditions, and personal stories into their sessions.
Your newborn pictures don't have to look like everyone else's. They should look like YOUR family.
