Attending the Met Gala made me realize something… family portrait day and the Met Gala actually have a LOT in common.
• People stressing about what to wear• Someone saying “Do I really have to do this?”• Last-minute negotiations• Hair spray everywhere• And at least one person wondering why they agreed to it 😂
The only difference is at the Met Gala they’re wearing outfits shaped like chandeliers… and at my portrait sessions, Dad usually just argues about wearing a collared shirt.
But in the end, both are about creating something timeless, unforgettable, and worthy of being displayed proudly for years to come.
Also, for the record… family portraits usually have fewer feathers. Usually. 😉

Every summer starts with “we should really update our family portrait this year…”
…and somehow ends with back-to-school shopping, college move-ins, and wondering how your kids grew up so fast.
The truth is, these years fly by. 💨
One day the bedrooms are full, the kitchen is loud, and everyone is home together. Then suddenly, they’re building lives of their own — and you’ll wish you had created that timeless portrait when everyone was still under your roof.🏡
Don’t let another summer slip by.
Come to Ebert Studio, or better yet, let Jeff Ebert come to you and create something personal in the comfort of your home or favorite location.
A beautiful family portrait isn’t just for today… it’s for every day after the kids are grown and gone. 🪽
Summer calendars fill quickly — think fast before this season disappears too.

Mental Health Awareness Month isn’t just about slowing down… it’s about holding on to what matters most.

In a world that moves fast, where stress, anxiety, and distractions pull families in every direction, there’s something incredibly grounding about pressing pause—and being fully present with the people you love.

A family portrait isn’t just a picture.

It’s a reminder.

A reminder that you belong. 🥰
A reminder that you’re supported.
A reminder that even in life’s hardest seasons, you’re not alone.🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Years from now, that portrait becomes more than art on the wall—it becomes a source of comfort. A visual anchor. A moment in time where everything else faded away, and what remained was connection.

For me, creating family portraits has never just been about photography. It’s about giving families a chance to slow down, laugh together, and walk away feeling a little more connected than when they arrived.

Because mental health isn’t just about what’s going on inside your mind…
It’s also about the relationships that surround your heart.

This month, take time to invest in your well-being—not just individually, but as a family.

You might be surprised how powerful one meaningful moment together can be. ❤️

Some stories were never meant to be told inside a studio.

Jeff Ebert believes the best family portraits happen when you step outside—into the places that already hold your memories. Your home. Your favorite beach. The cabin in the mountains. The backyard where life unfolds every day.

That’s why Jeff travels the country (and beyond), getting out of the studio and into your world—where your family feels most comfortable, most connected, and most you.

Because timeless portraits aren’t always created under perfect lighting…they’re created in meaningful places.

Anywhere your story lives, Jeff will meet you there.

Any town. Any state. Any country.
Your story is worth the journey

My Journey with Autism.

At 22, I said yes to something small—spending time with a 7-year-old boy named Ben.
What I didn’t know…was that it would change my life.
Ben was full of life—fearless, joyful, curious, and unbelievably connected to people. He also had autism. While his gifts were obvious, social interaction didn’t come as easily. So that summer, we worked on it together…through conversations, laughter, imagination, and a whole lot of pretending to be monkeys.
What started as a “summer thing” turned into something much bigger.
Ben didn’t just grow—I did too.
He taught me patience. Presence. Perspective. Persistence
Fast forward 15 years…my first son was adopted, from Russia,And at 3 years old, he was diagnosed with autism.
Different from Ben. Different strengths. Different challenges. But not unfamiliar.
Because of Ben, I didn’t walk into that diagnosis empty-handed. I walked in with experience, hope, and a deep belief that growth is always possible.
I truly believe God places people in our lives for a reason—sometimes to receive a gift…and sometimes to prepare us to give one.
In this case, it was both!
My journey with autism didn’t start with my son.It started with a boy who just wanted a buddy.
And it’s shaped how I show up as a father every single day. ❤️
