Cash, checks & all major credit cards are accepted. Interest-free payment plans are available. I (Renee) am a Navy veteran, married to an active Navy sailor and a mother of 3 children. I work part-time as a photographer from within my home. Because of my specialties, my schedule fills up very fast. Please contact me at least 2 months prior to your requested date. Most pregnancy & newborn sessions

Woah... it's been a while.

As many of you know, I closed my studio to pursue volunteer coaching at OHHS. In that time, I also moved to a new home in Oak Harbor. I thought I might start photography again and even did a few location sessions in the last few years, but I just don't see myself offering the full service as I did in the past. The only portraits I do are in the spring, which is for a preschool that I've been working with for about 16 years or so.

With that being said, I am now trying to sell everything I have with the exception of lighting and cameras. I need to clear out space and make room for existing and new journeys.

Everything I have is in like-new condition and even though they are low priced, I am willing to accept offers. Shipping is available for everything except larger props. I can provide quotes for shipping.

I am taking what I have learned in all these years and offering downloads of items to help new photographers, hobbyists and others. So you will see me advertising that here on this page until I figure out if I need to rebrand and put that somewhere else.

Hey everyone, I have officially closed my business and am transitioning to a hobbyist. Although I will be doing some sessions now and then, it will be all done through "personal" accounts now (which I need to figure out how to do). I am not sure if I will/can change the name of this page to reflect being a hobbyist or if I will just have remove it.

If there are any photographers out there that have went from business to hobbyist who may be able to help guide me with this transition, please send me a message. I am little lost.

As most of you know, I am a volunteer Color Guard director/coach at Oak Harbor High School (Oak Harbor High School Color Guard). Last year, I had a shoulder injury and was unable to take photos of the team nor could I fulfill any senior photo requests. This year, I had time and a stronger shoulder. So when this student (this year’s Color Guard Captain) asked me to take her photos, I said yes. We roamed the acreage surrounding her home and had fun do silly things as well getting serious and down to business. Thank you for choosing and trusting me with your senior photos. Now get back to practicing your show - you have a competition coming up. 😜

Wait… what? I’m doing this photographer stuff again? Well, not really. But when you’ve known this child since they were in their mommy’s tummy, you have time, and not in pain (remember that shoulder injury), you say yes to a request to take their senior photos.
We spent about 45 minutes dodging the sun and listening to her giggle and sing a song about a potato.
I know I’m a little rusty but thank you for trusting me with these special moments. As always, I overshot but I’m narrowing them down to the best.

I’ve got backdrops and more listed in Facebook’s marketplace. Buyer pays shipping (which will include insurance). My backdrops are all “like new” and more than half off of you were to go buy them directly from the vendors. Some props cannot be shipped. For those in/around local area…

We want to expand and build this event every year. We are looking for performance artists who would like be a part of our exhibition line up at our showcase.

What we are looking for:

- Dance groups/individuals
- Theater groups
- Choir/Singing groups
- Musicians, such as small band ensembles/groups
- Any other performance art that is fun and family friendly

All ages accepted, but youth programs/group are especially wanted.

Hey everyone! Just want to give an update..

In the last few years since closing, it’s been apparent that it was meant to happen. I’ve had some health issues (physical). My shoulders have taken a hit and I have arthritis in both. This makes it harder for me to hold my camera and lens. Those who have hired me in the past know I don’t work with a tripod, I do everything manually. That makes it tough to move quickly and efficiently.

For those who know me personally, you know I coach a high school team. It also has taken a toll on my coaching the color guard and I’m grateful to have a team of instructors to help me and fill in when I can’t do anymore. I am working with my doctors, physical therapists and recently had an MRI done.

At this time, I have no intention of reopening for regular sessions. I am only taking on the annual photos for one local preschool who I’ve worked with for about 14 years. Depending on the outcome of my MRI and what I have to do next, I may not be able to continue those also.

It took me a long time to accept that this was it. I’ve held onto props and backdrops all this time but now it’s time to let them all go. Some I’ve tried to sell and ended up donating to thrift stores. I’m still going through things and trying to sell some backdrops and my higher end items on Facebook marketplace. I’ll need to gather all my photos and put them in a folder since the marketplace expires and makes me start over. I do have a group with items in there. I need to clean it up again. If you’d like to see what I have, please let me know and I can send you a link to that.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my business, networked and trusted me with their family photos since 2006. Please remember to always get photos taken by a professional and get them PRINTED. Yes it’s an investment, but it’s worth it. Put them on your walls or add them to printed albums. Share them often and tell the stories, past and present to your children. No one is going to be excited about over finding usb drives or cds in the future and hoping they work.
