To the most amazing families that have chosen me with the incredible honor of photographing your family- I've been hesitant to post this, but it's time for me to take a break from photography.
I consider the photos that I have in my home of my family as my most valuable possessions. I hope you feel the same way about yours and I wanted to thank you so much for trusting me to take them for you.
During each session I wanted you to feel beautiful, be comfortable and have fun! I took those photos for you to display in your home but my goal always was much bigger. I've always taken family photos with the intention that they would eventually be for the kids. I hoped that your beautiful babies would look back at their photos year after year, even into adulthood, and see just how loved they were. How mom would tuck your hair behind your ear so gently or how daddy would make you fly like an airplane until you belly laughed. I hope your photos stir up your emotions and memories and give you lots of smiles. I can't tell you how many smiles you've given me by allowing me to spend time with your families. Watching your children grow has been the cherry on top for me. β€οΈ
I'm not entirely sure of what the future has in store or if this break will be for a short time or indefinitely. I do know that the weight of having a family, being a full time elementary school teacher and a photographer is incredibly overwhelming at times. This winter I really enjoyed slowing down, cheering on my boys at their many sporting events and being present with family and friends. I'm really looking forward to doing more of that and trying my hand at floral π· photography (yes, it's a thing!) and even painting! I have a few special sessions coming up but moving forward, I will not be taking on any bookings.
Thanks so much again for all the trust, kindness and and love you've shown me over the years. I will miss you!π Love, Jenny
