This shot was a blast to capture. Daniel & Belen had never been to New York before so to capture a shot like that encapsulates this beautiful city during their proposal shoot was so rewarding to me. I had a blast shooting with them. They were quite the explorers on our little adventure throughout Central Park.

I've come to notice that lovers are of two fairly different make ups that fit together like a lock and key. One tends to be more calm and collected, and the other more emotional and comfortable with it. They balance each other, amplify each other, and empower each other.

This proposal was shot in late summer of 2021 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. It was unique in that both of these ladies had planned to propose to each other on the same day, one getting the morning and the other the evening. To keep some things a secret a former client of mine and good friends of theirs were the intermediaries to protect some of that surprise factor. Kieran got a beautiful plaque put on a bench in the park which they enjoyed walking through regularly. If the photos don't give it away, Rachel was the emotional one of the two.

I shot these about a year ago for . It was the first time I brought my lighting into the gym and got to shoot some creative athletic portraits. 🙏🙏 I had a blast and was happy I could make some of my visions come to fruition. I was going for a look that felt like he was in the light, so I boosted the lights on him so I could darken the background.
