“Thinking of Fall”

I managed to block off Oct 14-19 this year to enjoy fall colors. With short window where should I go?! It’s the only block I have to travel a bit. I’m shooting weddings or engagement session almost every other day that month! It’s not a bad problem to have but at the same time it saddens me. I wish I had more time to explore.

“Pre Drought”

It’s been a while since, almost a year actually that I’ve been able to get out and do some exploring. I knew I had some some time off this month and really had high hopes. Well wouldn’t luck have it, the NE is one of the worse droughts we have had in 6yrs.

Waterfall Wednesday

"S Curve"

I'm not sure this image does justice for the magnitude of this scene and is ultimately one of my favorites, not because of pride in the photo. Rather because of the emotion drawn to the image. It was thundering loud, the cascade is over 80ft tall, I felt like an ant perched atop a small rock island. Originally had no intention of taking this photo I just wanted a different view. Once positioned the rock wall reviewed a beautiful S curve..the photo was born!
It took a 5 pane vertical panoramic image at 16mm to create the photo, if that says anything about how large this scene really is.

“First Step…”

I feel like this matches todays mood. What started out as a nice early morning hike turned in to a frantic scramble up the mountain to catch the fog. I figured I had all the time in the work because how thick it was, slight wind change and it was all gone in 15 mins. I had time for this one single image.

"Stuck Between a Rock....."

Ooohhhh March.... Your weather is unpredictable, 70 one day, dumping snow the next. But this year I'll take it, we were very light on our snow totals. Its going to take all the rain and snow we can get this spring to keep the falls flowing like last summer!!!!

"Freshie"
