Up early this morning to catch Union Pacific's Big Boy 4014 on its Journey to the East Coast. First stop in Oakwood Ohio to see it cross the Auglaize River. Then skipped ahead to Leipsic to see it just West of town at the Rd 7D crossing.

Part of UP's celebration of the United States' 250th. The first time 4014 has been East of the Mississippi since it was built in 1941.

The day started out stormy, but cleared up about 45 minutes before it rolled through. The sun started to peek out at the second stop. Great day and very impressive to see this go by.

Used some trash thrown in my yard to do some pinhole solargraphy. Thanks for the inspiration.

Set out from 5/22/2026 through 6/3/2026.

Not a great image. Several days after placing it were very rainy and cloudy. I can sort of see the barn, and the streaks in the sky show the path of the sun every day.

Unluckily, we get a lot of bottles and cans in our ditch, so I'll keep trying to make pinhole cameras out of trash.

Ilford photo paper, f-no idea, shutter speed - a couple of weeks.
