Michigan Outdoor Landscape Photographer Bryan Mitchell

I have been a professional photographer for 30+ years, capturing life, struggle, beauty and triumph throughout metro Detroit and around Michigan. For all of his career, he has worked as a photojournalist and has been a contributor to local and national publications/agencies such as the Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, The Guardian, Bloomberg News, AP, AP Images, Velo News. My photography has appeared in newspapers and magazines across North America and around the globe.

I also photographs public relations imagery and video for clients such as The City of Ann Arbor Park and Recreation and Washtenaw County Parks. If you are in need of a portrait photographer for business, personal use or senior portraits I can take care of you.

In October, 2016, I spent three weeks photographing Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (the UP) as the park's Artist in Residence (AIR) that year. Traveling to northern Michigan for camping and photographing the wonderment of the UP has become one of my passions - though most of that work was done for personal fulfillment in the past, as a relaxing experience with no pressures or deadlines to meet. Since the AIR I have been working on getting my nature and landscape images out to the world to share my passion for Northern Michigan with others.
