Cirrocumulus clouds are fun for enthusiasts to discover. They are commonly called “popcorn” clouds because they look like thin white popped kernels floating high in the sky.

It was a full & rich day. Walked 12 miles on Governors Island for the Volkswagen Car Show, Had a big dinner in Brooklyn, got caught in a thunderstorm, caught a rainbow and ended with a beautiful sunset in Brooklyn Bridge Park. A terrific late summer adventure!

Race Rock Lighthouse was built on a reef that was already rumored to be haunted by seamen and passengers of the many ships that have sunk in the area. There have been reports by witnesses of ghostly whispers, laughter, yells, footsteps, and voices that call their names. People have also said they’ve been touched, poked or pushed by an unseen hand, while passers-by have reported seeing the shadowy figure of a man in the tower. Just as surreal, wet footprints have been seen coming out of the shower even though the structure has not had running water in years. Featured on Ghost Hunters.
