it was the most perfect morning ✨ so many new images made for cyanotypes, prints, and Polaroid lifts, all in preparation for the Art of Surfing Festival. I'm reading The Anxious Generation (so challenging, so worth reading) and while I did not grow up with a "phone-based" childhood, my phone definitely takes up more of my time than I'd like. experimenting with polaroid lifts lately. this one is only partially lifted, leaving a layer of emulsion alongside the image and inside the clear frame. why? because it looks cool paired with the light leak! (but also because fully lifting the circular frames is way harder than the squares for some reason 😅). any alt process photographers experience this? also is it dangerous to not fully wash away these chemicals. 😳😬🤷🏽‍♀️
