It turns out Alexis is going to need ankle fusion surgery a few weeks before my next Iceland adventure. That leaves me with up to TWO open spots for the trip. The coolest thing about overlapping my passions for music and photography are the amazing opportunities to enjoy some world-class performances while capturing images. Whether it’s the Philadelphia Orchestra or Phish, or spectacular concert pianists, or conductors… it’s all so thrilling to capture. If you could photograph any performer, who would it be???

As I start focusing more on the upcoming trip to Iceland, one of the days I’m most excited for is our day at Home to a vast number of puffin breeding pairs, there is a wooden walkway built up and around the area where they burrow and nest. You don’t need a fancy birding lens to get incredible puffin photos! A cell phone or small lens on your camera will still get you amazing photos. I have been absolutely in love with these birds for so long! For many, many years it was a hope to one day see one, just like seeing the Northern Lights. What a gift the nature of Iceland is!!

This was perhaps one of the most ‘diamond like’ pieces of ice I have seen in my May visits to Diamond Beach. What a special place!! So where are YOUR favorite places in Iceland?
